Greg Shapley is a new media artist and composer. He has been Director of Don’t Look Gallery and the Sound of Failure Festival and has taught at the University of Technology, Sydney and Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney. Last year, Shapley exhibited at the Newington Armory as part of the Memory Flows project and in a solo show, entitled Un/shore at Mori Gallery. He also took part in the Write Around the Murray festival in Albury with a collaborative work entitled Spatial Stories. In 2009 he undertook a number of projects including a solo exhibition, David Lynch’s Hands, and participated in the Memory Flows project at Carriage Works and UTS with a work entitled In Memoriam. He is currently exhibiting a work entitled Min-Mach-Mus at Sydney Non-objective Gallery and has been invited to contribute to the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in 2012. Shapley is currently employed as the Gallery Manager of Verge Gallery in Sydney.
